Amazing Facts About the Human Brain

Amazing top 10 Facts About the Human Brain...

The human brain is a beautiful thing. It is responsible for all of the technological achievements that we have reached thus far. And the best part is, our brains are continually getting smarter. But to develop a better understanding of the brain, as well as a new found respect, let’s cover the top 10 facts about the brain that you probably didn’t know about.

10. Human Brains Consume More Energy than Any Other Part of The Body

Even though your brain only makes about less than 3% of your entire body, it takes up a whopping 20% of energy to operate. What is all of this energy used for? Well, a lot of it goes towards the maintenance and production of cell-growth. The remaining energy is used to fuel electrical impulses in the body so that they work better with one another. While size is usually a factor in most cases, it isn’t when it comes to the human brain.

9. The Human Brain Contains About 100 Billion Neurons

Consider this: your brain contains close to 100 billion neurons. This number is about 16 times larger than the amount of people that there are on the planet. And also realize that each of these neurons can link to as many as 10,000 other ones. To put simply, this is a massive connection. The huge number of connections going on inside of your brain is what allows you to recall memories, develop ideas, and have a personality.

Ryaon-Ji is a temple in Japan and it is famous for the Zen Garden. It is considered to be one of the best examples of dry-landscape style. It is also considered as the only greatest piece of Japanese culture. The temple is surrounded by low walls and it is unknown exactly who laid the garden out. There is a stone washbasin behind the garden. It is called Tsukubai and is said to be a gift from Tokugawa Mitsukuni in the seventeenth century. It bears an inscription; ‘I learn only to be contented’.

Minneapolis - Top Ten Gardens in the World

This garden is one of the best landmarks in Minnesota, United States. Claes Oldenburg and his wife Coosje van Bruggen were asked to design a fountain-sculpture for this particular garden. If you are aware with his style, he uses a spoon in many of his sculptures and that spoon appeared in a huge size in this particular design. It was the theme of the entire garden. He topped the spoon off with a cherry on top literally. The cherry comes from the dining etiquette of Louis XIV and that is what the cherry imposes.

Electronic simple Project - Solar Tracker

Solar Tracker

A solar tracker is a device for orienting a day-lighting reflector, solar photovoltaic panel or concentrating solar reflector or lens toward the sun. The sun's position in the sky varies both with the seasons and time of day as the sun moves across the sky. Solar powered equipment works best when pointed at or near the sun, so a solar tracker can increase the effectiveness of such equipment over any fixed position, at the cost of additional system complexity.
